To All parents and student musicians in the SAHS Bands,

Scheduling for the bands is very important to us, as it impacts over 250 students and their families.  All concerts are carefully checked with our master calendar to assure that our student activities are not in conflict.  

That said, we have discovered a previously unknown conflict with our mountain biking team with our Kaleidoscope concerts. As over 10 % of our musicians participate in this activity, we have decided to change the date of our Kaleidoscope concerts from Sunday October 7 to Monday, October 8th. Concert times are now 6:30 PM and 8:00 PM. Symphonic Band will perform on the 6:30 concert and Concert Band will perform on the 8:00. All other ensembles will perform on both concerts. The rehearsals previously schedule on Saturday, October 6 will now occur during the school day on Monday.  For chamber ensembles performing on this concert, there will be rehearsal time on Sunday October 7. All band calendars and shared syllabi have been updated with this change.

Our apologies on concert change, but our State Champion Mountain Biking Team has a meet that was not on the calendar, as it is a club sport.  We have asked that, in the future, our club sport schedules are also listed on our master calendar. We are currently having the activities office recheck the rest of the fine arts calendar to confirm that there are no other conflicts this year.
